The Clothing Bar is a local consignment boutique that makes shopping feel truly guilt-free. Their mission to support sustainable fashion practices, collaborate with local businesses, and ensure affordability are reasons their customers remain loyal. They created a space where your first choice is now second-hand.
The brand uses earthy tones, which further emulates its sustainability mission and gives a sense of calm (this was particularly important during lockdown). Clothing textures and warm sunlight helped create an intimate, open-armed welcome to the brand’s community.
To promote the brand and engage with the online community, I focused on showcasing real people. I used my very willing co-workers as models to promote products on real bodies. Simultaneously, I showcased my team’s personality on social media while displaying products, which allowed the online community to feel connected to them. With these efforts, website sales increased while forming an online community.
